Mumbai Court Permits ED to Record Statements of Six Jailed Accused in IS Conspiracy Case

A special court in Mumbai has granted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) permission to record statements of six individuals currently in jail. These statements are crucial for a money-laundering investigation linked to an alleged ISIS conspiracy case. The probe is based on a National Investigation Agency (NIA) case registered in November 2023. The ED aims to identify accomplices, trace fund flows, and examine the accused's roles in alleged money laundering activities. The court has directed prison authorities to facilitate the recording of statements between October and November 2026.
