Former Spinner Pragyan Ojha Appointed New Chief Selector

The BCCI has appointed former spinner Pragyan Ojha as the new chairman of the men's selection committee, replacing Ajit Agarkar. Ojha's appointment is based on his seniority, having played the most Test matches in his career. Ramesh Powar has also been included as a new member of the selection committee. The BCCI acknowledged Ajit Agarkar's tenure, during which the Indian team won three ICC trophies, two Asia Cup titles, and an Asian Games gold medal. Powar, a former India international, has also had a notable coaching career.
