Vijayendra has accused the Congress government in Karnataka of using the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls controversy to distract from its governance failures. बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष बी.वाई. विजयेंद्र ने कर्नाटक की कांग्रेस सरकार पर आरोप लगाया है कि वह चुनावी मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) विवाद का इस्तेमाल अपनी शासन की नाकामियों से ध्यान भटकाने के लिए कर रही है। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री डी.के. शिवकुमार के चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ आरोपों पर सवाल उठाया, यह कहते हुए कि राज्य के अधिकारी एसआईआर प्रक्रिया में शामिल हैं। विजयेंद्र ने सरकार के वित्तीय प्रबंधन की भी आलोचना की, जिसमें मुफ्त बस यात्रा योजना से हुए नुकसान और बीजेपी कार्यकर्ताओं के खिलाफ पुलिस मशीनरी के कथित दुरुपयोग का हवाला दिया गया।
