Ganesha Festival Begins With Grand Celebrations In Hubballi

The 11-day Ganesha festival has commenced in Hubballi-Dharwad with hundreds of mandals installing idols. Giant idols, including the 24-foot 'Hubballi Ka Raja' and a 25-foot eco-friendly 'Hubballi Ka Maharaja', are major attractions. Processions featuring music and folk troupes marked the start, with police ensuring security. The festival draws thousands from surrounding areas, showcasing mythological themes and skits. An idol was also installed at Idgah Maidan, a practice permitted since 2022.
