Karnataka has set a 2030 goal to become a national leader in disaster prevention and preparedness. The state aims to improve risk assessment, early warning systems, and resilient infrastructure to address hazards like floods, droughts, and landslides. This initiative aligns with the UN's Sendai Framework, emphasizing comprehensive disaster risk assessments for public projects and coordinated departmental action.

कर्नाटक ने आपदा रोकथाम और तैयारी में राष्ट्रीय नेता बनने के लिए 2030 का लक्ष्य रखा है। उप मुख्यमंत्री जी परमेश्वर ने जोखिम कम करने को शासन और विकास योजना में एकीकृत करने पर जोर दिया, राहत से रोकथाम पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया। राज्य का लक्ष्य बाढ़, सूखा और भूस्खलन जैसी आपदाओं से निपटने के लिए जोखिम मूल्यांकन, प्रारंभिक चेतावनी प्रणाली और लचीले बुनियादी ढांचे में सुधार करना है। यह पहल संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सेंडाई फ्रेमवर्क के अनुरूप है, जो सार्वजनिक परियोजनाओं के लिए व्यापक आपदा जोखिम मूल्यांकन और समन्वित विभागीय कार्रवाई पर जोर देती है।
