The Rajya Sabha has passed a bill to recognise digital bank records as admissible evidence in courts. This new legislation aims to replace the outdated Bankers' Books Evidence Act of 1891, which has been in place for 135 years. The move modernises the legal framework for financial evidence, bringing it in line with current digital banking practices.

राज्यसभा ने एक बिल पास किया है, जिससे अब डिजिटल बैंक रिकॉर्ड को कोर्ट में सबूत के तौर पर माना जाएगा। यह नया कानून 135 साल पुराने बैंकर बुक्स एविडेंस एक्ट, 1891 की जगह लेगा। इससे वित्तीय सबूतों के लिए कानूनी ढांचा आधुनिक हो जाएगा और यह डिजिटल बैंकिंग के मौजूदा तरीकों के अनुरूप होगा।
