Headscarf Not Essential Religious Practice: HC

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that wearing a headscarf is not an essential religious practice for Muslim women. The court stated that no factual foundation or material was presented to establish that donning a headscarf is a mandatory part of the Islamic faith for females. Forsaking it would not lead to exclusion from the religion.
