An Indonesian passenger ship, Virgo Transport 8, carrying 240 people has lost contact in the Java Sea. The vessel was en route from Surabaya, East Java, to Banjarmasin on Borneo island when communications were lost on Sunday. Search and rescue teams have launched an operation to locate the ship, which was last tracked approximately 92 miles from Banjarmasin.
