Kerala Cop Suspended For Allegedly Attacking SFI Activists With Knuckleduster

A civil police officer named Safad, attached to the Armed Reserve camp in Kerala, has been suspended following allegations of assaulting SFI activists. The incident occurred on October 11 during an SFI march to Palakkad Town railway station. Activists claimed that Safad, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked them with a knuckleduster. A medical examination reportedly confirmed the officer had consumed alcohol. The District Police Chief ordered the suspension after the Town North Police filed a report.

केरल के आर्म्ड रिजर्व कैंप से जुड़े सिविल पुलिस अधिकारी सफ़द को एसएफआई कार्यकर्ताओं से मारपीट के आरोपों के बाद निलंबित कर दिया गया है। यह घटना 11 अक्टूबर को पालक्काड टाउन रेलवे स्टेशन की ओर एसएफआई मार्च के दौरान हुई थी। कार्यकर्ताओं का आरोप है कि सफ़द, जो कथित तौर पर शराब के नशे में थे, ने नॉकल्डस्टर से उन पर हमला किया। मेडिकल जांच में कथित तौर पर पुष्टि हुई है कि अधिकारी ने शराब पी थी। टाउन नॉर्थ पुलिस द्वारा रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराने के बाद जिला पुलिस प्रमुख ने निलंबन का आदेश दिया।
