Tenants of temple properties have urged Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay to implement a Government Order (G.O.) that fixes rents for residential properties. This G.O., issued, by the previous government, is estimated to directly impact approximately 20 lakh families. Tenant associations advocate for its implementation, stating it would ensure timely revenue for temples and resolve disputes over rent rates.
