Dakshina Kannada Receives Relief With Heavy Monsoon Rains

Dakshina Kannada experienced heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning over Friday and Saturday, reviving monsoon conditions after a dry spell. The severe weather caused disruptions, including a lightning strike in Attoor village that injured three people and damaged a house. Artificial flooding occurred along the national highway in Belthangady, causing vehicles to be stranded and shops to be inundated. Several roads in Puttur city and rural areas also flooded. Rainfall recorded in Dakshina Kannada was significantly above normal, with light rain expected to continue.

शुक्रवार और शनिवार को दक्षिण कन्नड़ में गरज और बिजली के साथ भारी बारिश हुई, जिससे सूखे के बाद मॉनसून की स्थिति फिर से बहाल हो गई। गंभीर मौसम के कारण व्यवधान उत्पन्न हुए, जिसमें अटूर गांव में बिजली गिरने से तीन लोग घायल हो गए और एक घर क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया। बेल्थंगडी में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर कृत्रिम बाढ़ आ गई, जिससे वाहन फंस गए और दुकानें जलमग्न हो गईं। पुत्तूर शहर और ग्रामीण इलाकों की कई सड़कें भी बाढ़ की चपेट में आ गईं। दक्षिण कन्नड़ में सामान्य से काफी अधिक बारिश दर्ज की गई, और हल्की बारिश जारी रहने की उम्मीद है।
