Tripura Politicians Condemn Influencer Over Racial Harassment of Youth

Senior political leaders in Tripura have strongly condemned social media influencer Amir Shokeen for allegedly engaging in racial harassment against a tribal youth from the state in Delhi. A video circulating online purportedly shows Shokeen using racial slurs and making disparaging remarks about Tripura and its people. Leaders from CPI(M) and Congress have demanded swift and stringent legal action against Shokeen. Chief Minister Manik Saha has directed the DGP to coordinate with Delhi Police, while the TIPRA Motha party's youth wing has filed an FIR.
