Family and friends of Ajay Kumar, who was shot dead in Abohar on September 27 and later died from his injuries, continued their protest on Wednesday demanding a CBI inquiry. They expressed a lack of confidence in the Punjab police's investigation and threatened a statewide shutdown if justice is not delivered. Ajay, who was married with two children, was shot outside a temple. Abohar MLA Sandeep Jakhar met the family, calling it distressing that they must protest for justice.
