Indian baker Smriti Nambiar has secured a silver medal in the Bakery category at the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 competition. She also received the 'Best of the Nation' award for India, recognizing her outstanding performance. Nambiar expressed gratitude to her mentor, family, and chefs for their support in achieving this feat. India sent its largest contingent of 70 competitors to the event, which featured over 1,400 participants from 70 countries, ultimately finishing 10th overall.
