Delhi's Home Minister Ashish Sood has ordered strict measures to curb corruption in the jail administration. Officials who have been stationed at the same post for over three years will be immediately transferred. Additionally, the past 10-year records of officers facing allegations of corruption or misconduct will be examined. The government also plans to enhance security by adopting modern scanning technology to prevent the smuggling of contraband. Measures are also being taken to ensure the quality of food and medicines provided to inmates, with verification against market rates.

दिल्ली के गृह मंत्री आशीष सूद ने जेल प्रशासन में भ्रष्टाचार पर लगाम लगाने के लिए कड़े कदम उठाने का आदेश दिया है। जो अधिकारी तीन साल से ज़्यादा समय से एक ही पद पर तैनात हैं, उनका तुरंत तबादला किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा, भ्रष्टाचार या कदाचार के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे अधिकारियों के पिछले 10 साल के रिकॉर्ड की जांच की जाएगी। सरकार का इरादा आधुनिक स्कैनिंग तकनीक अपनाकर सुरक्षा बढ़ाने का भी है ताकि तस्करी को रोका जा सके। कैदियों को दिए जाने वाले भोजन और दवाओं की गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करने के उपाय भी किए जा रहे हैं, जिनकी बाज़ार दरों से तुलना की जाएगी।
